About the exposure triangle

Aperture, shutter speed, and ISO together determine exposure, but each also carries a side effect: aperture controls depth of field, shutter speed controls motion blur, and ISO controls noise/grain. Move any one slider and, to keep the same overall brightness, you'd need to offset it with one of the other two, this tool shows the trade-offs each setting carries rather than automatically balancing them for you.
